Like many people, I’ve been unbelievably hyped for the upcoming release of the Dandadan anime adaptation.

The series is one of the strongest new series Shonen Jump has under its umbrella at the moment. Its blend of occult and sci-fi with teen romance and comedy is a novel one. And while it might not be the next Chainsaw Man, it certainly has the potential to be one of the biggest Series the publication has now that My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen have wrapped up.

While PS5 exclusives might seem like an endangered species of titles, the console has finally amassed a fair few. Sure, some might eventually see a PC release, but in terms of consoles, Sony’s latest offering is the only place to play them.

And yet, as is the case with any console, some of the exclusives are better than others. That’s why we’ve taken the time to rank every PS5 exclusive from worst to best based on our own experiences with them.

New World is relaunching for consoles as New World: Aeternum, bringing the MMO RPG to Xbox and PlayStation. This is great news for anyone who has wanted to play since its release on PC in 2021. But is New World a little late to the party?

As an MMO RPG, New World: Aeternum is competing with huge titles such as Final Fantasy 14 and Lost Ark. MMO players have a lot to choose from so it may be difficult to entice them to a new title. So does New World: Aeternum have what it takes to engage players for the long haul? A game such as this can be a real commitment. They ask players to spend time customizing, exploring, crafting, and battling foes. Levelling up to unlock all potential gameplay takes hours upon hours of dedicated gameplay. MMO RPGs can be all-consuming and much of the time players only take on one at a time.

The PS5 Pro is officially on its way, and the price for the newest iteration on Sony’s current console is steep. Fortunately, there are some notable visual improvements that come with the console’s $700 price tag, and we’ve compiled five ways your games will look better on PS5 Pro.

A Higher Frame Rate During Fidelity Mode

A key feature of the PS5 Pro is its increased power, and that allows for some particularly marked improvement in terms of frame rate during Fidelity mode.

The price of the PS5 Pro will be $699.99 / £699.99 / €799.99 / ¥119, 980 – as revealed at the end of its Technical Presentation by Mark Cerny. If we had to sum up our general feelings about that, we’d mirror the below X post in absolute astonishment at such a high price tag:

5. Dude Raiding (Uncharted)

To its credit, the Uncharted-based level Dude Raiding in Astro Bot does everything right as a quick celebration of the Naughty Dog franchise’s PS3 era.

Sony has announced a Technical Presentation that will stream on Sept. 9. This isn’t a State of Play and will only be nine minutes long. With all this information in hand, it certainly sounds like we’re getting information on an upcoming PS5 Pro model. We don’t exactly know what to expect, but we do have a wishlist of things we hope it includes.

PS3 Backwards Compatibility

In February, Sony filed a new patent related to Backward Compatibility Testing. Though the pattern doesn’t directly mention the PS3, it seems to hint at it. After all, Sony is sorely lacking compared to the Xbox’s extensive backward compatibility features. Due to this patent, though, it is entirely possible a PS5 Pro could feature PS3 compatibility on a hardware level.

For Call of Duty’s close-quarters combat, nothing does the job quite like an SMG. Well, maybe a shotgun, but that won’t get you anywhere at mid-range. Black Ops 6’s open beta only has two SMGs to choose from, but by launch, there will be much more variety. Here are the best SMGs in Black Ops 6, ranked.

C9

As far as Black Ops 6’s SMGs go, the C9 is the better choice. While they’re similar as of the beta, the C9 is more accurate than the Jackal, with the rest of the stats being about the same. That accuracy is enough to give you an edge at slightly farther distances, although it still shines best at close range. The iron sights aren’t the best, but with a good optic or at least a laser, it’s a solid SMG.

One of the staples of Call of Duty’s weapons has always been the Assault Rifle category. ARs can deal lots of damage across medium distances, but start to lose their accuracy at long and close ranges. As of the open beta, there are only three assault rifles to choose from, so here are the best Black Ops 6 Assault Rifles ranked.

AK-74

Of Black Ops 6‘s assault rifles, the AK-74 has proven to be the best option of the three. While the rate of fire is slower than the other two, the firepower that it brings to the table is more than enough to compensate. Making sure to get the first shot off in an encounter becomes the main priority, and as long as you’re hitting your target, you should be able to get the kill.

With the open beta of Black Ops 6 comes a sample of some of the multiplayer maps coming at launch. There are confirmed to be 16 maps at launch, but the beta will only be featuring six of them. 1. Scud

Topping the list for the first beta weekend’s maps is Scud. Set in Iran, this war-torn field has great opportunities for all different types of playstyles. There are great sightlines for snipers that can be countered easily, as well as plenty of buildings for close-quarters combat. Whether you’re playing Hardline, Domination or Team Deathmatch, there are plenty of opportunities for points on Scud.

Alien is back in the spotlight. Not only has Alien: Romulus proven to be a hit at the box office, there’s a TV series and a new game in the works. Sadly, the franchise’s gaming entries haven’t always been successful, with one exception: 2014’s Alien: Isolation. 5. Tension

Any film student will tell you that a monster is scariest before we understand it. Alien understood that. The first film is easily the scariest, and part of this is due to the fact that for most of it, we don’t get more than quick glimpses of the Xenomorph.

Opening Night Live saw plenty of new reveals, but one of the most unusual was Secret Level. This new anthology series from Netflix is inspired by games, presenting us with so-called “secret levels”. These are new stories with characters from (or in the universe of) a variety of different games. We already know that there will be episodes based on the likes of God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and even Dungeons and Dragons, but there’s plenty of space for more. 10: ObsCure

Let’s kick off with a total wildcard. This (appropriately) obscure PS2 series is overdue a revival. A Secret Level episode would be a perfect place for it to start if Amazon wants to take a left-field option.

We play as Swann Holloway as she reconnects with old friends after receiving a mysterious package. Although the girls had vowed to never speak about the strange things that happened when they were teens, it seems that they now have no choice.

Since its reveal, I’ve been both sceptical and excited to play Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Machine Games has a phenomenal track record, but I couldn’t help but think Indy’s movements looked clunky in recent trailers.

Having seen an extended section of the game, and heard from Game Director Jerk Gustafsson and Creative Director Axel Torvenius, some of those concerns remain, but The Great Circle surprised me in its scope and how impressive it is in its variety and presentation.

Originally released in 2006, Dead Rising quickly solidified itself as a zombie fan favorite, spawning multiple sequels and a following ready to rival The Walking Dead. Now, 18 years later, Capcom has rewarded us all with a remastered update of the game that started it all.

It is safe to say that the biggest update in the game is the graphics. With 18 years comes incredible advancements in animation, and Capcom did not skip out on making sure we could see every reaction and emotion on not only Frank’s face, but on every NPC’s too. While the original game still holds up well, the graphics overhaul was well worth the time and makes the gore that bit more visceral, which you definitely want in a modern zombie game. Especially when taking them down with a skateboard or golf putter is still very much an option.

My Hero Academia is, without a doubt, one of the most influential anime and manga to release in the past few decades. Initially compared to other Shonen works ad nauseam, it managed to set itself apart thanks to its creative characters, dazzling art, and engaging story arcs.

Last Friday (August 2) saw Coach launch its first gaming efforts as part of the Find Your Courage campaign. The crossover sees Coach products appear in two Roblox titles – Fashion Klossette and Fashion Famous Two – as well as gaming/social media platform Zepeto. We were lucky enough to attend the launch event at Coach’s flagship store in New York, and talk to SVP of Global Visual Experience Gio Zaccariello and VP of Marketing Kimberly Wallengren about the collaboration and bringing fashion to Roblox.

Twinfinite: Why did you choose Roblox and Zepeto for the collaboration over any other platforms?

As more and more people worldwide are getting concerned with their digital presence, some of the world’s biggest brands are taking the opportunity to heighten their own online persona. The latest of these is renowned fashion house Coach, who launched its first gaming collaboration as part of the ongoing Find Your Courage campaign. Recently we got a look at the Coach’s collaborations, Fashion Klossette and Fashion Famous 2, as well as its collaboration with social media platform Zepeto.

Both games have similar mechanics and gameplay loops. In each game, players are tasked with creating a look for the runway, before they walk a virtual runway. In each round, players rate each other’s looks, with the winner being whichever player has created the best look.
